Continuing Education or PDH is known as CPC in Mississippi

Here is a summary of the engineering continuing education requirements mandated by the Mississippi Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Surveyors.

Subject Requirement
Hours Required 15 hours annually
Renewal Dates December 31 every year for all engineers
Board Approval The Board does not pre-approve providers or specific courses. Each engineer must determine whether an activity meets the Board’s requirements.
Approved Content Any qualifying course or activity with a clear purpose and objective which will maintain, improve, or expand the skills and knowledge relevant to the registrant’s field of practice in engineering. For all engineers, at least 1 PDH must be earned in Ethics training every two years.
Approved Activities Online continuing education is accepted. There is no limit to the number of hours that can be earned.
PDH Carryover A maximum of 15 PDH may be carried forward into the next renewal period. Excess ethics credits may not be carried forward.
Notes
  1. For dual licensees, the number of PDH units required shall be 18, at least one-third of which shall be obtained in each profession.
  2. PDH completion records must be maintained for a minimum of 3 years.
